-Matthew 25:40
One thing we learn from Christ's example has been service. We believe in serving all those around us. After the typhoon hit in the Philippines, the missionaries from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints stepped in to help.
On November 8, 2013 one of the most powerful storms ever recorded, with sustained winds nearing 200 mph, struck the Philippines. One of several landfalls was south of Tacloban. The next day missionaries from the Tacloban Philippines Mission gathered in Tacloban to offer assistance to those in need.

The LDS church has a very good humanitarian aide that goes to many different people all over the world. They not only assist in natural disasters but with; wheelchairs, clean water, emergency response, food, vision care, neonatal resuscitation training, and immunizations.
And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God.
- Mosiah 2:17
I am so grateful to have been brought up in a church that values serving other with such a high priority. In serving those around me I feel so uplifted and such happiness that one can only feel through serving others. I urge all who are ever feeling depressed or like their life has little worth to find a way to serve those around you and you will see your attitude and demeanor change.
What are some experiences you have seen where you have served and felt more at peace?
